This four-bedroom, four-level home was designed around a strict palette of beiges and browns—at the clients’ request—while making sure the space still felt rich and engaging. To avoid a flat or predictable look, we leaned into texture and contrast, layering plush rugs, tailored drapery, and a mix of matte and reflective finishes throughout. Soft, layered lighting adds warmth and depth, giving each room its own mood while staying within the same tonal family. Their love of travel became a key design moment, with a curated display of posters and photography thoughtfully showcased in the basement media room. The result is a calm, cohesive home that feels warm and personal—proof that neutral doesn’t have to mean boring.
